„Grundsätzlich begrüßen wir jede Maßnahme die Essen smarter macht, allerdings müssen auch hier Kosten und Nutzen zusammenpassen“ stellt Wilfried Adamy, Digitalisierungsexperte der EBB-FW-Ratsfraktion, klar.
Besonders im Bereich des Smart Parking könnten mit Hilfe des LORAWAN-Netzes der Stadtwerke kostengünstig und wartungsarm Parksensoren in der Innenstadt geschaffen werden. „Wir haben die Verwaltung deswegen, in Form einer Anfrage, dazu aufgefordert diese technischen Möglichkeiten zu prüfen“ resümiert Adamy.
